About

My name is Andrea – but please call me Andy – I’ve been writing book reviews for the last year. I started off on another website but back in September 2014 I slowly made the transition to this site. I’ve always had a love for books since my aunt took me to the library about 15 years ago. Although she is no longer with us, I still have the love for books. I like escaping into different worlds when my own life is less than awesome – which can be all the time. Currently making my way through a 400+ book reading list, that always seems to grow and never gets any shorter.

I love reading Young Adult, Paranormal, Chick-Lit, Romantic Comedies, mysteries and depending on the author horror too. With this blog I try to be honest in my opinions with the books, but not in too mean of a way. What these authors do is hard work. Speaking of, I never promote these reviews to authors – even though I follow a bunch of them on Twitter – if they find reviews of their books on this blog it’s purely by their own means. Like Melissa de la Cruz did back in March, May, and September (this still blows my mind):

I post mostly Monday-Friday, unless I finish a book on the last weekend of the month. As of 2015, there will be no more Reading Away the Weekend posts – thanks to my new blog theme I have my ‘currently reading’ widget from Goodreads. Also there won’t be Library Tuesday posts, I hate writing them.

So, please enjoy my blog. And let me know what you think about my reviews!

Is there a book you’re looking for? Comment on this page with the title and the author and I’ll let you know if it’s on my reading list. If it’s not I’ll look into it.

Hey there Andy! Just clicking around the blogosphere and commenting on blogs that I think are fun and interesting, and you’re one of them. October is my birthday month, so consider this an invitation to my month-long birthday party. Hope to see you over at That’s So Jacob sometime!

    Hi Andy,

My name is Joni Johnson. I am a debut Indie author published on Amazon and Kindle. I am hoping you will consider doing a review of my novel, a YA contemporary, romance titled STRAY. I am more than happy to send you a Kindle or paperback copy as soon as requested. Here is a short synopsis to entice you:

We’ve all had that day. You know, that day you’re abandoned in a small town, you meet a boy then ruin his life? That day, right? No? Then meet Lila Baxter, 17.
Lila is abandoned at a gas station in a small town when her father, who was taking Lila to live with her grandmother, had a lapse in sobriety. Lila is left alone, unsure of where she is, with no money, and no cell phone. Enter the boy: gas station cashier, Vance Larson, eighteen. Lila accepts Vance’s help and this handsome farm boy and his syrupy sweet mother make her feel more loved in five minutes than her dad did in seventeen years. Lila resists this blissful fantasy. But how can she refrain when it becomes clear that Vance wants to be more than friends? He can save her in so many ways.
Lila soon finds, however, there are no fantasies. Her presence in Vance’s life exacerbates a family quarrel with Vance’s older brother, and ignites a fury in both Vance’s ex-girlfriend, and an old friend recently returned from prison. Fixing the trouble she’s caused is next to impossible, and she contemplates running. But what if Vance is still willing to love her? And will any of it matter when her father returns?

Thank you, for the time you’re taking in considering my novel.

    Sincerely,
    Joni Johnson
